Every year for the past 5 years our family has enjoyed our annual trip to Knott's "Merry" Farm. They have 3 weeks out of the year, between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when they let firefighters and police officers in for free along with their spouse and family members get in for a reduced price. We have gone with our good friends and their family. We've been joined by some of our family members and some of theirs off and on, but it has always been a good time. This year we moved a little slower now that we have 4 kids and they have 6 but it was fun. The older boys enjoyed going off on their own to ride the coasters while we took the little ones on smaller rides. The weather was cold and wet this year but we still managed to have a "Merry" time.

Safety Patrol
I love our little Elementary they are so good to our kids and provide them with so many fun opportunities. Our school counselor is amazing and has been so helpful with S and has come up with some really fun things for the kids. . . .
Like Safety Patrol.
Last week M was on Safety Patrol in the morning for the entire week. He walked around with his vest on and his clip board making sure that all was well near the restrooms. He was pleased to not have to give out any citations. He had a lot of fun with his friends.

Argh! Happy Birthday!
We had a great time at S's birthday party. He wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese's but since we needed to meet up with family in St. George we decided on Pirate Island Pizza (a better version of Chuck E Cheese's).

Grandma kept an eye on KD.

Aunt A enjoying a drink of water.

C eating a piece of the kids giant pizza.

2 Weeks in Reverse
So I am still having a hard time with the fact that the days are passing so quickly and she is getting so big so fast. I wish I could reverse time. This is yesterday and her cheeks are filling out. Tomorrow she'll be 3 weeks old.

She's a really good sleeper and has not kept us up at night.

All ready for church for the first time, but not too thrilled about it.

Her first bath was a rough experience. It took 16 days for her umbilical cord to fall off.

All ready for a trip to St. George. The flower looks a little big?

Everyone still adores her and argues over who gets to hold her next.

First time in her swing, she really liked it at first and then the last couple of days she is not amused.

Her 4th of July outfit she wore on the 6th of July because she wasn't home on the 4th like we thought we were going to be.

Patiently waiting to hold his baby sister at Grandma P's house.
The proud big brother.

Our little science project. When she was 1 week old her ongoing billirubin tests showed that she needed lights. So instead of heading back home after we dropped the boys off with family for a nice relaxing 4th of July weekend we were stuck in St. George at C's parents house so that she could be under the lights for 3 days and continue to get her heel pricked everyday. She was finally done with the lights in the late afternoon on the 4th. We waited in St. George until the morning of the 5th to get the boys. It was really nice to be able to concentrate on her while family was taking care of the boys. We are so grateful for all of our family; they are amazing.

The Princess has Arrived!
KD arrived on June 25th at 9:44 am. She weighed 7 lbs. 9 oz. and was 19 inches long. C and I both had the flu on June 24th early in the wee hours of the morning and were not completely amused to be heading to St. George at 11:45 pm that evening (even though we really did want to meet her). I had gone to my doctors appt. by myself that day and I think the doctor knew that I would be back within 24 hours but he didn't exactly put it in those words. I went home and took a 2 hour nap, took the kids to the park, went on a walk, and was in bed by 9:00 pm only to be woken up at 11:00 in pain and sweating like crazy. We got to St. George at approx. 2:00 am Utah time and the nurses who checked me in could tell that C and I were not doing well. I was even more confused about wanting to be there when they told me that I needed to walk for a while before they admitted me. Not fun when you are exhausted and really just want to be in bed. Well I obviously got to stay and everything went pretty well from then on. She was by far the easiest delivery and she wasn't taken away from me to go to the nursery or anything; she was perfectly healthy.

The proud big brothers. They just love her. They all light up every time she is mentioned or seen.

Her going home get-up everyone has teased me about how much girly stuff she has but I say "what do you expect from a mom with 3 boys?"

Her little shoes/slippers are the cutest things ever.

Day 3 the day we went to get the boys from grandma and get her billirubin levels checked. She is a little jaundice due to being early and me having gestational diabetes.

The shirt she is wearing says "Daddy's little Sweetie!" She truly is; he just loves her.

Her flowers. The yellow roses are from Grandma C because they were her name sakes favorite.

Another billirubin and Dr. visit. She is still in the low-intermediate risk range but has to go back again on Thurs. to make sure she is okay.

6 days old. I can't believe it. I have had a hard time with every passing day. Having the 3 boys I realize how quickly the time goes by and I just don't want her to get big. I can definitely see why people keep having more kids. I love her so much and while I can't wait to see what she will do and say I wish I could freeze the next couple months as I know for sure that she is our last baby. She is a really good baby. She is a good little nurser, sleeps really good, and is the cutest/sweetest little thing. She doesn't cry, unless completely provoked by a sponge bath or diaper change, she only squeaks when she is hungry or waking up. We are so excited to have her and love her so much.

I love the tie-dye from her Aunt E. She looks so cute in it.
